BALANCE PRACTICE
In our usually hectic lives, we are often juggling work, school, family, friends and to-do lists. Sometimes is becomes difficult to balance work and play, activity and rest. As we try to do it all, we become stressed. However, now that we are forced to stay close to home there are different stressors. It is essential that we take healthy breaks to find balance in order to restore ourselves and those around us.
BALANCE PRACTICE (10 minutes daily, if possible)
Find a quiet space and time to sit in east. Relax your body, gently close your eyes and slow your breathing, paying attention to the rise and fall of your belly as you inhale and exhale. Envision a place where you feel calm and at peace - a beach, a forest, a bath. Stay in that place and allow each cell of your body to absorb the sights, sounds and smells. When you open your eyes, bring that sense of peace to your next activity.

INTRODUCTION
Since we will not be practicing yoga or mindfulness together physically for the next six weeks, I have decided to start a class blog. Here I will share daily thoughts, quotes, ideas, projects, gratitude and anything else that might help us through this uncertain time.
My hope is that you will also post comments and ideas -- so we can share and exchange information, stay connected.
Eventually, my intention is to livestream a weekly yoga class from my living room, allowing us to stay physically active too!
